1. What is toybox?
Toybox is is 2degrees’ store where our customers can purchase and download all sorts of content to personalize their handset like games, wallpapers, ring-tones and music. Toybox let’s you add a bit of fun to your standard handset to make your mobile a bit more you!
2. How does it work?
Using toybox is easyAnd it works in two ways, depending on how you like to shop:
• The simplest way is to view and download content directly to your handset from the mobile store using a phone that has mobile internet This means you can browse toybox where-ever you are and download your goodies straight away.
• Or if you’d rather browse on a computer screen, you can shop online and get your content sent to your handset via a link in a text.
You’ll needto be a 2degrees customer to use toybox because you pay for the stuff you want with 2degrees credit. The store simply takes this off your existing airtime balance.
And you’ll need a-mobile internet capable handset. If you’re unsure if your phone can get mobile internet then call us on 200 and we can check your handset and help you get the settings right.
3. How much does it cost?
There is a range of different things you can purchhase on toybox and like any store the prices vary depending on what you want to buy.
Games start from xx, wallpapers start from xx & x starts from xX
Also, there is a bunch of free stuff like wallpapers & images.
4. How do I get onto toybox?
Just hit ‘home’ or your internet button on your handset and toybox will be one of the links on the 2degrees mobile internet home page. Or if you are using a computer go to m.2degreesmobile.co.nz.
5. How do I get toybox content onto my handset?
The easiest way to get the toybox goodies onto your handset is to download content directly from the toybox mobile site. When you purchase something a link will appear for you to click and download then and there.
If you are browsing toybox on a computer, when you order something, we’ll send you are text with a link in it for you to download when you are ready.
1. Step by step for ordering the things you want?
Toybox has a heap of great stuff to personalize your mobile or keep you occupied. Here’s the low down on how to order:
1. Browse toybox on your handset or by viewing the website and see what’s available
2. When you see some content that takes your fancy select it as you would in a normal online store
3. At this point it will ask you for your mobile number to check you have enough airtime credit to buy this bit of content
4. If you’ve got enough credit to cover it, it will take the price off your airtime balance
5. Depending on how you are viewing toybox you’ll get a link to download the content– either on the page you’re viewing or by text.
6. If you‘re using your handset for the download, make sure you click the link then and there before closing the page, as the link will disappear if you close the browser. Try to be careful with your mobile too while the download is happening – as dropping it or losing power will interrupt the download
7. If you have any problems getting your content, call our Care Team on 200 and we can make sure you get the stuff you’ve bought.
Downloading toybox goodies should not take more than a few seconds (or mins for large downloads). It’s simple. And don’t worry, Toybox is pretty clever – it’s designed to only let you buy things that work on your particular mobile.
1. Does it work with all mobiles?
You need a handset that can connet to mobile internet to download Toybox content. We’re pretty sure most internet capable handsets will work – so if your handset does this, then you’re good to go.
Remember, if you prefer to shop from your computer rather than your handset screen then that’s fine too. But you’ll still need the internet capable handset for downloading the content before you can use it.
2. Why do I have to have a data connection?
You need to have a data connection because you use data to view toybox (if you are doing this on your handset) and to download content (either directly from toybox or from the text link).
You will be charged data usage while browsing toybox on your handset but the data used to download whatever you buy is free.
3. I haven’t received my toybox content
If you are downloading your goodies directly to your handset, you do this straight after the purchase has been approved by clicking on the link that appears on the toybox page. You’ll need to do this then and there (if you close the site and come back in later the link will have disappeared).
If you are receiving the content by a text link, this text should be delivered pretty quickly to you. Sometimes there is a delay on the texts. On a bad day, these text links may take up to 24 hours to arrive.

4. How do I get the data settings on my mobile right?

5. I can’t find where my content has been downloaded to.
Each mobile is different, so you’ll need to look in your mobile’s user guide to find where your content has been stored. Usually different things are stored different places eg Games may be stored in one place and music or wallpapers somewhere else.
6. Do I need to download my product straight away?
If you are wanting to download this directly to your handset from the toybox site, then yes, you need to download it then and there via the link.
If you’ve ordered via the website you have 7 days to use the link sent to you in the text.
7. Does toybox work from overseas?
Yes, but be careful as it will be expensive due to the international roaming data charges.
